October finished with a bang at the Grand Oaks Resort, and so, we move on to November. The whole resort will be buzzing with horse shows, entertainment, fellowship gatherings, and RV rallies.

The first weekend of November, Orlando Dressage will be having their Dressage Under the Oaks IV, in the covered arena. Dressage is a meticulous and demanding sport that requires muscle memory work for both horse and rider, harmony, rhythm, and a lot of patience. Watching a well-ridden test is seeing very subtle aids from the rider with very responsive yet relaxed movements from the horse.

The next horse show after the Dressage Under the Oaks IV, is the Horse Shows in the Park/Hunt Country, 3 days, double pointed, “Signature Show, November 18-20th. This is the last show of the season, before the points for all the riders and their horses for the year are tallied up. The Year End Awards Banquet here at The Grand Oaks Resort in December, issues out the prizes, ribbons, and trophies for all the hard work and dedication the riders, their horses, trainers, and parents put in. The double-pointed show is exciting, fun, and competitive, with classes going on in every competition ring on site. From Working Hunters to Jumpers, cross rails to Medals, the last push for points is energetic and a great end to a busy season.

The Banquet rooms and The Bistro will be busy as well. The Oak Room, Bridge Room, and The Bistro’s Player’s Club Room will be bustling with gatherings and events. Our banquet rooms are large and open with easy access, plenty of seating and tables, and beautifully turned out. The Oak Room is 3,360 sq. ft. and seats up to 250 for banquet seating and 225 for reception seating and the Bridge Room can seat up to 80 guests in a banquet setting. The Bistro is available for on-site catering and has an expansive menu with an array of options. The Bistro is also the perfect setting for more intimate gatherings, meetings, and family get-togethers.

Right after Thanksgiving, on Saturday, November 26, The Gala of the Royal Horses will be performing in the covered arena at the Grand Oaks Resort at 3 pm.  Renee Gasser and his troupe of Lipizzaners, Andalusians, Friesians, Arabians, Quarter Horse, and Horseman will dazzle the audience with “The Airs Above The Ground”, as well as  “Roman Riding”, “The Art of Garrocha” and a stunning “Bare Back Riding” performance. This is a spectacular event with General Admission tickets and VIP seating tickets with an after-performance meet and greet’. If you have family over for the Holidays, this is a treat that everyone would love!

The Grand Oaks  RV park will be the destination of a huge RV Rally rolling in during the week of Thanksgiving.  All 60 of our 35’ wide sites boast 65’ and 85’ lengths, full hook-ups, paved roads, concrete pads, and patios, as well as Wi-Fi, which makes it the perfect spot for a caravan of Class A’s to meet up and celebrate the Holidays together with friends and family.
