Prepare for show season with an incredible weekend of clinics and training. Join expert clinicians Jacob Arnold and Taren Lester at The Grand Oaks to take your driving skills to a higher level, and have a great time doing it!

Driving Clinic: December 3-4

Work with Jacob Arnold or Taren Lester and your choice of dressage, cones, or marathon driving. For only $300, you can enjoy 2 45-minute lessons with each clinician each day. The instructors have 13 45-minute lesson slots per day available, so call Kacy at 352-409-1398 now to reserve your preferred time slots. Additional fees include $50 per night per stall, as well as $50 per night per RV site for those working out of trailers.

The property will be open to drive for anyone participating in the clinic, and obstacles will also be available for practice. Plus, you can meet the clinicians on Thursday evening at The Bistro and then walk cones with them on Saturday evening.

Combined Test: December 5

Our Combined Test (Dressage & Cones) will begin at 8 a.m. on Sunday, December 5. The cost to participate is just $125 for each turnout. Additional fees include $50 per night per stall, as well as $50 per night per RV site for those working out of trailers. To enter, submit the competition forms below. About the Clinicians

Jacob Arnold is one of US Equestrian’s most promising Combined Drivers. He has represented Team USA at all levels of competition with medal-winning performances across the board. At the 2020 USEF Pair Horse Championships, Jacob accomplished a lifelong goal of winning a National Championship. Jacob competed at the FEI World Championships for Horse Pairs this past summer and placed 12th out of 100 entries.


Taz Lester

Commonly known as “Taz,” Taren Lester has been in the Combined Driving Sport for 25 years. His driving career began with pony teams and young horse teams in England and evolved to America, where he has worked with multiple Team USA drivers. Taz has attended 10 World Championships and 4 World Equestrian Games in varied capacities. For the last 7 years, Taz has been the stable manager and daily trainer of horses (single, pair, and team) for Hillcroft Farm Combined Driving. Taz’s training theory puts the basics and building blocks to the forefront of daily training,  emphasizing long-term success in competitions.
